• I WAS absolutely outraged after reading your February 18 front-page story about the NHS sell-off to an American money-making investment company, (The great GP surgery takeover).

Add to this your further informative One Week with John Gulliver article (Our NHS could be destroyed by these scandalous secret sell-offs, February 18) and I was left even more incensed.

The NHS is a service we, the public, the citizens and taxpayers of this country, own outright.

And just who the hell do a few privately-educated nobs think they are to conduct behind-the-scenes deals with a private money-making US investment company to hand over a “thin-end-of-the-wedge” sale of our family heirloom NHS?

We – the people – should be legally able to take this government to the High Court to put a stop to this money-making scam and expose it for the abuse of trust that it is.
