The apartment building next to Talacre Park

• SADLY, Camden Council’s high-handed obfuscation of the Talacre Dalby Street development scandal continues.

This despite the vigilance of the CNJ’s Comment columns and the perseverance of concerned residents Nick Harding and Brian Lake.

At this rate Camden will be named and shamed in Private Eye’s “Rotten Boroughs” page – and deservedly so.

Two facts scream out: The council is legally owed millions in uncollected overage payments from the developer’s massive profits from the sale of 36 flats.

And the formal investigation response promised almost six months ago to the above pair of residents by cabinet councillors Danny Beales and Richard Olszewski has not been delivered.
