Sir Keir’s knighthood is nothing political
Friday, 26th March 2021
• SUE Banks’s March 18 letter says of Sir Keir Starmer “The moment a politician is knighted you might as well call it a day”, (Feels like the beginnings of a fascist state).
Sir Keir Starmer was knighted after he finished his stint as a neutral civil servant, the Director of Public Prosecutions, well before he became the Labour leader. Traditionally DPPs are knighted, it’s nothing political.
As for Cressida Dick organising a vigil, honestly I don’t think that would be a good idea.
