Council tax: Camden is far from cheap…

• SUGGEST your readers check on the council tax payable on a band D (about the average) property in the City of London compared with a band D property in Camden.

The difference is considerable. It isn’t cheaper to live in Camden either (published figures claim £1,109.44 for City of London as against Camden £1,623.45).

Mine, for some mysterious reason, was (2021-22) an unexplained £1,719.47! (I do have this in writing). I suppose someone has to pay for the Pancras Square profligacy.

Mystery as to why published figures differ from demanded figures though. Maybe residents should check theirs also, comparatively.
