• CLAIMS being made in a letter (Streatery is to relaunch, March 18), that Belsize Village was a desolate, rubbish- strewn dump before they decided to remove the benches and install commercial rubbish bins are ridiculous.

It has always been a lovely part of London. It just needs some more shops and seating. Clearly any bins need to be away from the footpaths and benches.

Concerns have been raised that some of the business people should be working from home but are meeting up over here. Please stop being so inconsiderate to the residents.
