• IF the Pierre Andrews writing (Levelling up matters, January 26) in praise of the government’s “levelling up” policy is by any chance the deputy chair of Holborn and St Pancras Conservatives (with the same name), it might also be instructive to have his comments on Rishi Sunak’s notorious boast last year that he’d deliberately diverted levelling up money from “deprived urban areas” to rich ones such as Tunbridge Wells.
