We will miss representing residents of Primrose Hill

Thursday, 20th January 2022

• SADLY the historic links between Camden Town and Primrose Hill have been broken by the Local Government Boundary Commission and we have both been selected as Labour candidates for the Camden Town ward, which covers the bulk of our existing ward.

We will continue to represent all of the existing ward until the elections in May but at the election the remainder of our ward will join parts of the existing Belsize and Swiss Cottage wards to form a new Primrose Hill ward.

We will miss our residents in Primrose Hill and have worked hard over many years to deliver for local people including securing the long-term future of Primrose Hill Library and Primrose Hill Community Centre, the streatery in Regent’s Park Road, new cycle hangars, the reintroduction of double-decker buses on the 274 route and action against anti-social behaviour on the hill.

We could not have achieved these gains without the support of Labour activists like Ajok Athian, Anna Burrage and Matt Cooper who are Labour’s candidates for the new Primrose Hill ward at this year’s elections.

Ajok is a care worker, Anna is a strategy consultant and Matt is a software engineer. They make a young, diverse, and dynamic, team which has already hit the ground running, campaigning in all parts of the ward.

We believe Primrose Hill has benefited from having Labour councillors and we are confident that Ajok, Anna and Matt will see off the Tory challenge and ensure the voices of residents continue to be heard loud and clear at the town hall.
