The O2 Centre site

• I AGREE with everything Alan Mason says about Labour congratulating themselves on achieving step-free access at West Hampstead Underground station (These three ward councillors deserve no thanks, March 7), but allowing Landsec to destroy the entire area with their planned gulag – whoops, sorry, I mean collection of luxury flats for foreign investors – on the O2 Centre site.

But it gets worse. Step-free access won’t matter a bit when people actually cannot, or are not allowed to access the platform because of severe overcrowding caused by all the extra people being dumped into such a small area.

My only consolation is that if, as Landsec says, the site won’t be finished for 15 years, I may well be dead by then.
