• FURTHER to Cllrs Shiva Tiwari, Nazma Rahman & Sharon Hardwick’s letter congratulating themselves on achieving step-free access at West Hampstead Underground station, the sad truth is that this infrastructure enhancement is their reward from Landsec for the councillors’ limp-wristed opposition – tantamount to support – to Landsec’s monstrous Soviet-style overdevelopment of the O2 Centre site.

The three West Hampstead ward councillors deserve no thanks regarding Landsec’s plans to demolish the much-used and greatly-appreciated O2 Centre and impose its hated tower blocks on our portion of north west London.
