Step-free access at the tube station will make a real difference
Thursday, 29th February 2024
• WEST Hampstead Labour councillors have worked tirelessly to win further investment for local transport hubs and are delighted to report that the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, has decided to begin design work to make the West Hampstead tube station step-free.
Bringing in step-free access will finally make all three local stations fully accessible for our residents. This will make a huge difference to all our residents’ lives.
West Hampstead will become a truly accessible hub in the heart of Camden which can only bring positive results for all our residents, visitors and local businesses.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank the West Hampstead Amenity and Transport (WHAT) group for their campaigning work, and Hampstead and Kilburn MP Tulip Siddiq and Anne Clarke AM, our Labour London Assembly Member for Barnet and Camden, for their support.
