New zebra crossing in Swains Lane, Highgate

• CONTRARY to Richard Molineux’s statement (No consultation about new zebra crossings, February 2) that Camden did not consult and are ruling by decree with regard to Swains Lane, the council did consult on these changes through the normal channels, see https://consultations.wearecamden.org/supporting-communities/proposed-changes-on-shh/

I am also aware that the council consulted local groups including the disabled community about the changes. The consultation closed on January 31 2021 and clearly included proposals for two additional zebra crossings around the roundabout on Swains Lane and Highgate Road.

I understand that the changes are being funded via a section 106 agreement funded by the developers of the new Swains Lane shopping parade.
