New zebra crossing in Swains Lane, Highgate

• I RESPECT Mary Hynes that, being blind, she welcomes a zebra crossing in Swains Lane, (We should not be prioritising traffic flow in local neighbourhood shopping areas, January 26).

There will, however, be three crossings at the Nemtsov roundabout. In use together they will cause congestion on all three feeder roads simultaneously.

The neighbourhood has had no consultation about this. Only close-by shops received anything. A major change is under way with no local consultation by Camden, now ruling by decree. The sort of behaviour Nemtsov, the courageous Russian dissident, opposed.
