The scheme at Prince of Wales Road adds to pollution
Thursday, 14th September 2023
• SO, the road planning department of Camden Council, in their wisdom, have installed a new zebra/ cycle crossing on Prince of Wales Road, together with what can only be described as flower beds.
I can only assume this project, is to slow down traffic and “beautify” this section. All it has achieved is to increase the volume of traffic, leading to higher pollution levels, impatient drivers, and confused cyclists. Vehicles either don’t stop at all or stop across the cycle lane.
Who is responsible for maintaining the flower beds? These can only attract litter and dog mess. It has been ill-conceived and thought out and a complete waste of ratepayers’ money.
