• SHAME on the Camden Labour Party cabal that has deselected Cllr Leo Cassarani from the coming May elections on the grounds that he is too caring and too representative of the needs and wishes of the Swiss Cottage electorate.

How dare they conspire to deprive residents of the right to re-elect an extremely popular councillor who has been nothing but utterly helpful, involved, knowledgeable, and – so refreshing – speaks truth to power?

We are devastated. Several of us will pointedly not vote Labour in May.
