I FULLY agree with Cath Attlee (Too many cyclists break the law, Letters, December 8).
I have experienced many occasions when cyclists are breaking the law by riding on the pavement and putting pedestrians at risk.

I myself have nearly been knocked over at least six times in the last few months.
The police only tell me to report it but it is impossible to do so when the cyclists are whizzing by so quickly; and they advised me to ask Camden Council to install CCTV on the high streets which would I fear would never happen. I only get abuse when tackling these people.

As there is a new Highway Code in place now would it not be sensible to start licensing these rogue cyclists? And then at least one would possibly have the opportunity to take their number to report. I commend Cath Attlee for being such a responsible and law-abiding citizen.
