YOU would be hard pushed to find a bigger hearted pub landlord than Pat Logue, writes Dan Carrier.
The famous licensee of Camden Town’s Sheephaven Bay pub has for many years supported the New Journal’s annual Christmas appeal – but his kindness isn’t just for the festive period.
This week, Pat handed over £700 to the Castlehaven Food Bank – the food service founded by the New Journal during the Covid pandemic.
Pat invited volunteers along for a night in their Sheephaven – and handed over the cash as a thank you.
It was just one of the many, quiet donations he has made to the service.
Food bank manager Anna Kusner said: “We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Pat for his extraordinary kindness and ongoing support. Once again, Pat and his wonderful customers have generously donated £700, continuing a long tradition of community-minded giving that makes a real difference to families facing hardship. Pat’s commitment to supporting the food bank year after year reflects not only his personal generosity but also the compassion and unity of everyone at The Sheephaven Bay.
“His ongoing contributions have helped us keep our shelves stocked, provide essential food items, and respond quickly to urgent needs within our community. We are truly grateful for Pat’s unwavering support.”
