Hampstead and Kilburn: Labour candidate Tulip Siddiq's 60 second pitch
Saturday, 3rd June 2017

LABOUR candidate Tulip Siddiq has insisted she has a track record of putting constituents above party politics, telling voters: “I’ve always said I represent Hampstead and Kilburn at Westminster, not Westminster in Hampstead and Kilburn.”
She was speaking as candidates were given 60 seconds to provide voters with a final pitch at the end of the South Kilburn hustings on Wednesday night.
“Even when it’s at the expense of my own party whip I’ve always put the constituency first,” she said. “Whether that’s Brexit, whether that’s High Speed Rail 2, whether that’s welfare reform, for me I’ve always been clear local residents comes first, not my career.”
