A PRE-SCHOOL nursery which has provided early education to thousands of youngsters in Kentish Town has been told by government inspectors from Ofsted that it is “outstanding".

The Bluebells Nursery, based in the Our Lady Help Of Christians Church Hall in Lady Margaret Road, was told that in all four key areas they had reached the highest possible attainment. The inspector said: “Staff are well qualified and display an excellent understanding of how children learn and develop. Staff provide and abundance of challenging and interesting learning experiences and activities. Children are highly motivated, eager to participate and make rapid progress.”

Headteacher Anita Pearson, who set the nursery up 22 years ago, said: “When the inspector told us that we were outstanding, we all looked at each other and had a bit of a sob. We have had thousands of children come through Bluebells – and it is such a joy to see people in Kentish Town who I knew as toddlers.”
