• IT must have been surprising to hear Robert Peston singing “I am an anarchist… I am the anti-Christ”, (Peston plays the punk at summer street party, September 14).

Ed Balls as his drummer played an unusual role too.

It is not merely surprising but alarming, though, that their act was introduced by Sir Keir Starmer.

Given his history of broken pledges and mass expulsions, it seems unwise for Sir Keir, the leader of the opposition, to introduce the anti-Christ.
