• I WAS quite taken aback that my local councillor Leo Cassarani has been blocked by the Labour hierarchy from continuing to represent me.

Leo has been a very active councillor meeting with and, more importantly, listening to residents’ concerns and worries and helping us to make our views heard.

Clearly representing your constituents and speaking truth to power is not what the Labour council who “value the community” want; we all suspected that was all flummery.

Were Leo to stand as an independent, I’d definitely vote for him. Thank you Leo for all you’ve done.
