YOUR SHOUT: Saved from the shambolics

I WANT to congratulate Arsene Wenger on not getting dragged in to what was an over-priced, shambolic transfer market.

The Gunners’ gaffer was no doubt under increasing pressure to be seen spending money on Tuesday as the clock ticked down on transfer deadline day. But he stayed strong, and refused to pay over the odds on bog standard players who, in truth, are not even good enough to play in the Championship.

The likes of Bradley Johnson and Jacob Butterfield going for millions just because they’re English?

What is the world coming to?

Wenger did a good job staying well, well away from that mockery of a market.
