Richard Osley used his Summer Diary column to share his views on the passing of racehorse Kauto Star last week. 

He made it clear that any condolence messages for Kauto Star were simply from punters mourning “one of the few horses who made me money”.

It’s nothing to do with winning money or the cuteness of the horse. It’s to do with the loss of a phenomenal athlete.
