ANYBODY else get the feeling that within 16 months there’s going to be a little bit of history repeating?

With Roy Hodgson getting the England job, disheartened Harry Redknapp will actually have to concentrate on his free-falling Tottenham side and their attempts to throw away a place in next season’s Champions League.

But can the Spurs’ faithful really turn a blind eye to the fact that good old Harry was ready and waiting to jump ship for his dream job?

Especially if the distraction was indeed what was responsible for the club’s plummet, although I have my doubts that it was.

So what happens next?

Redknapp stays, suddenly commits to Tottenham and is given millions to spend in the summer?

Then what if Hodgson struggles in the World Cup qualifiers and, with the help, no doubt, of the media, is given the boot less than a year-and-a-half into his four-year contract?

Odds on that if Harry stays and finds a way to keep Spurs challenging the whole drama that has given his team a poor excuse for a shockingly poor run will resurface.

Is it worth the risk? Or is it time to follow in the FA’s footsteps and admit there’s a better man for the job!
