Your report reminded me of what Jefferson wrote

• THE carefully selected excerpts of private correspondence between myself and other members of Camden Labour Group published in the CNJ last week (‘Stage-managed’ council meetings: Labour backbenchers ask party to stop planting questions’, September 6) reminded me of what US President Thomas Jefferson once wrote: “The man who never looks into a newspaper is better informed than he who reads them, inasmuch as he who knows nothing is nearer to truth than he whose mind is filled with falsehoods and errors.”
