Young visitors inspired us to keep the hope

• CADFA, Camden Abu Dis Friendship Association, would like to thank the many members of the Camden community who helped with the exchange visit of Palestinian youngsters that culminated with a beautiful event at Holy Cross Church last Thursday.
It was a wonderful visit with activities with schools and youth clubs across the country and a really lovely, positive group of young people who were well-supported by so many warm-hearted people. This was part of the Building Hope project which really lived up to its name.
However the dehumanisation and abuse of the Palestinian people are continuing in Gaza (and in a different way in Jerusalem and the West Bank).
Israel’s brutality is bring supported by Western governments and now Gazan children are starving to death while the bombs still fall.
Here is a report by CNN – hardly a radical voice – www.facebook.com/share/p/pyp5HMJiTbgKZcFs/
We need a ceasefire right now, food, water, and medicines to Gaza right now. We need our council to call for a ceasefire and everyone to work as fast as they can for a world that supports and cares for people, rejects the vile horrors of racism, a world where kids can smile.
