• MANY Camden and Islington residents attended the end-of-life service of Glyn Roberts to say goodbye at St Marylebone chapel in East Finchley.
On the same day a large number of mourners also stood outside the Lido where he worked as a lifeguard for 25 years.
He was involved with so many fundraising activities. He ran 19 marathons; numerous bicycle races; rock climbing; he was a first aid trainer. He was also chair of his local tenants’ and residents’ association and the health and safety trustee at the Hilldrop Community Centre near where he lived.
Up to the time of his death he was chasing funds for a children’s garden.
Greatly missed by his daughter Holly, son Edward, partner Tory and daughter Jessica. He really touched the lives of so many other people.
The Hilldrop Community Centre are raising funds to replace their front garden benches and improve the environment. One of the benches and a section of the garden is to be specially dedicate to Glyn.
