• YOUR editorial on Julian Assange was the rare and much appreciated truth behind his persecution, confinement and isolation, (Don’t lose sight of press freedom in case against Assange, April 18).

A local London newspaper, the Camden New Journal, scoops the national media and comes out firmly in support of freedom of the press at a time of crisis and indecision.
