‘Sir Keir shames the Labour Party’

• OF course I want Labour to win the next general election, Jenny Woolf, (The question remains, do you want Labour to win the next general election? September 8).

I want them to nationalise the major utilities, bring transport and energy into public ownership, extend workers’ rights, narrow inequality, embark on a national house-building programme, freeze rents and energy prices, pursue tax dodgers, institute a living wage, end zero-hours contracts, stop arming dictators, and redistribute wealth and power.

I also want Sir Keir Starmer to stop siding with the Conservatives, suspending and expelling socialists, undermining party democracy and refusing to stand beside workers and communities who are trying to protect themselves.

Sir Keir shames the party and the movement. We would be much better off without him. He lied to become leader and he’s lied every day since.
