THERE was double delight for Camden Town FC at Regent’s Park on Sunday as both the club’s first team and newly-formed second team picked up good wins.
Playing in Division One of the London and South-East Women’s League, the first team looked back to their best with a 4-2 win over Tring. Winger Sarah Boyall opened the scoring before skipper Carmel Clinton doubled the advantage. Boyall looked to have put the result beyond any doubt with her second of the game but Tring rallied and pulled two goals back to set up a nervous finale. Right-back Kit Needham made the points safe with a clinical finish late on.
Town’s second string were also celebrating after goals from Kirsty Graham and vice-captain Anna Harvey clinched a 2-0 win over East Barnet in Division Two of the Greater London Women’s League.
