KIM Little netted a late winner last night (Wednesday) to earn Arsenal Ladies their second successive league and cup double.

The Scottish midfielder struck an 82nd minute stunner as the Gunners overcame Birmingham in the Continental Cup final at Underhill.

Laura Harvey’s side were deserved winners, having dominated the game for large spells and twice hitting the woodwork.

With extra-time looming, the Londoners grabbed a the winner courtesy of their enigmatic midfielder Little.
She collected the ball just outside the box and curled a wonderful left-footed effort beyond the helpless Rebecca Spencer and into the far corner.

That goal saw Arsenal retain the trophy they won 12 months ago, which again came at rivals Birmingham’s expense.
With the Super League title already in the bag, Arsenal will be hoping to add to their haul of silverware with the addition of the UEFA Women’s Champions League trophy.
