Woman taken to hospital after substance thrown at her in Kentish Town
Police say substance not believed to be acid but await confirmation

Emergency services were called to Kentish Town Road just before 7am and say a woman, in her 30s, had suffered injuries “after a substance was thrown at her”.
Her skin was doused with water at the scene and then she was taken to a central London hospital. The Met Police say they are awaiting an update on her condition but her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
The Met said the substance is not believed to have been acid, but they are awaiting confirmation. No arrests have been made.
A London Ambulance Service spokeswoman said they were called to “an incident” on the road this morning.
She added: “We dispatched an ambulance crew, an incident response officer and our hazardous area response team (HART) to the scene.
“We treated a woman at the scene and took her to hospital.”
