On Thursday 9th May WM College hosted its first book launch event in the newly refurbished Grade II listed library for author Natty Mark Samuels’ new book ‘The Encyclopedia of Rootical Folklore’.

Natty Mark Samuels travels to botanical gardens, youth centres, and carnivals throughout the U.K. telling stories and singing the songs of African and Caribbean flora. In 2009, he founded the African School, where he teaches classes on African folklore, art, and culture. As a friend of WM College, Natty Mark has visited the College many times to deliver insightful and inspiring talks to learners on these subjects.

WM College was thrilled to be chosen as the location to host the London book launch which saw Natty Mark Samuels give readings and signed copies of his new book. ‘The Encyclopedia of Rootical Folklore’ is available to buy online on Amazon, WHSmiths, Blackwells, Bookshop UK and many more.
