Why will councillors not give us the courtesy of a reply?

• TWO weeks ago I wrote an open letter to the three councillors representing the Kentish Town South ward asking for their help in trying to get some co-ordination from Camden Council over the never-ending road works along Kentish Town Road, arguing that “Our high street is the focus of our community. It should not be a perpetual building site”.

I have yet to have any response whatsoever from any of the councillors, namely Georgia Gould, Meric Apak and Jenny Headlam-Wells.

It is demoralising and exasperating to find that these councillors seem to have quit on interacting with their residents and don’t even have the courtesy of a reply to heartfelt, polite, suggestions about a part of the borough that has been beleaguered all this year, and with the axe of the tube closing about to fall to make matters even worse.

Meanwhile, G.Network continues to crawl up the Kentish Town Road with apparent indifference to the mayhem caused. It is interesting to learn that councillors can find the time to disappear off to Uxbridge to campaign for one of their own.
