• FURTHER to the ongoing debate, I am sure councillors and officers must read the New Journal.

They will have read about the concerns of residents over the fears of mobile phone masts erected close to homes and especially the contributor who wrote of seven or eight masts clumped together on an adjoining Telecom roof, next to a block of flats, and the number of cancers that have occurred there (May 16) .

As another contributor wrote: “Silence speaks volumes.” Why the silence on this?
