Why the reluctance to answer questions on women’s concerns?

The underground toilets in Parlway
• IN light of the fiasco over changing our ladies loos to mixed sex, the distress cause to the lady with her young stepson with the threat from a male user, the non-disclosures imposed on female members of the council over sexual harassment, to name a few recent story’s run by your newspaper, it is disheartening, as a Labour voter, to not receive any replies from my local Labour candidates running for South Hampstead ward.
Yet all three Conservative council candidates replied when asked about protection of women and single-sex spaces in the borough.
I would think that Labour candidates would be happy to appease many Labour women voters and men who are concerned for the safety of their female relatives and friends too.
I wonder why the candidates have resisted answering many women’s concerns across the borough?
Do they feel that protecting women is anti-trans and cannot figure out a way to separately provide for both?
Quality and Human Rights Commission guidelines recently published urged premises to provide single sex spaces.
