Those interested in the Merchant Navy might like to know that the annual Merchant Navy Day Service takes place at Trinity Square Gardens, just outside Tower Hill tube station, at 12.15 onwards on Sunday September 8.

The Red Ensign will be flying from Tower Bridge that day, and from other public buildings too, and you’ll hear the Band of HM Royal Marines playing.
