• I HAVE found your contributions to local life and politics over the years interesting and often stimulating. However over the past couple of weeks, significantly before the local elections, I have found your coverage negative and somewhat biased.

I can see and appreciate the role of debate but the frequent carping and negativity about the work of our councillors has become too much.

We are lucky enough to live in an inner-London borough that does it’s best to ensure that services continue and that all of us are consulted and involved in decision-making.

This is within the context of draconian cuts by the current government over several years. Why is the New Journal unable to commend and congratulate our councillors on their hard work and dedication?

By the time this gets printed the election will be taking place. I just hope that your influence has little effect to rational voters – a disappointed reader.
