Who is going to take responsibility for the Queen’s Crescent bill?

Thursday, 22nd August 2024

• WHO in Camden Council is going to take responsibility for the £650,000 paid out over 10 years to various consultancy firms for “planning” with regard to the Queen’s Crescent “regeneration” against a backdrop of savage cuts to benefits and public services?

How can these sums of money be justified?

Why is it that the six councillors had been asked for months about the progress and plans for the Queen’s Crescent project and replied repeatedly that they had been given no new information by officers.

Without notice, a complete brochure dropped through local letterboxes with a start date for actual works given as two weeks later.

Given the extreme level of noise and disturbance, why are residents and businesses not given proper information for serious participation and comment?

Why are councillors being effectively kept in the dark?
