Who is allocated to patrol Primrose Hill?
Thursday, 25th November 2021

Primrose Hill will reopen for 24 hours a day, 7-days a week from the start of December
• THE Royal Parks decision to re-open Primrose Hill Park late at night on weekends is based on police stats that reveal the big fall in crime resulting from the temporary gates.
Will this mean that any future rise in the anti-social behaviour stats will be used to inform decisions to secure the park again as problems flare up?
Having a duty of care to the public means that the Royal Parks cannot turn a blind eye if drug dealing, public urination or late-night noise return to the park.
Everyone in and around the park deserves to know how they are being protected and whether any patrols will be happening to keep us all safe.
Since Royal Parks Police are off duty after 11pm, and Camden Town Police are focused on Camden Town, who is allocated to patrol this large open space?
Unlike some who celebrate this decision, there are many who worry about the safety of teenagers in the park and sleepless residents nearby.
