Where’s Freddy gone? It's Nightmare On Elm Street
Road sign has gone missing

The adapted sign which was once on the wall in Elm Street
THE street sign in Elm Street had been too tempting for a wag with a ladder, who added some extra words and a silhouette of the badly burned horror film villain Freddy Krueger.
This little ‘Nightmare On Elm Street’ artwork, complete with a dripping red WC1 postcode, has drawn chuckles from passers-by who recalled the 1980s movie franchise for several years.

But this week, residents said the sign – just off the south end of Gray’s Inn Road – has gone mysteriously missing.
Scaffolding is up around a residential building but just stained black bricks are a clue to where Freddy once was.
