• WE are a group of elected resident representatives of council estates in the Kilburn ward. It is with great delight that we write this letter in support of Eddie Hanson, a candidate for councillor for the Labour Party in the May 5 elections for the Kilburn ward.

When we first heard Eddie was standing we were over the moon as we know of Eddie’s work in the Kilburn community over the years and him being the Hampstead District Management Committee chair which works closely with all the TRAs and resident groups in the Hampstead and Kilburn area, including our TRAs, Mortimer Crescent, Abbey Co-op, Alexandra & Ainsworth and also Webheath and Mary Green where he was instrumental in helping them set up and reviving their TRAs.

We know Eddie lived in Kilburn for over a decade before his family moved to Finchley Road and with all the continued work Eddie Hanson does in our Kilburn community, also including mentoring young people in Kilburn and being a governor at a local Kilburn primary school, Eddie understands the challenges us locals are facing in the community here and is best placed to be our councillor in the Kilburn ward.
