Brexit Royal Mail

A ‘joke’ leaflet about Brexit being put through people’s doors

• YOUR May 23 Comment rightly points to the unregulated nature of political postings on the internet, (It’s left to public protest to shame and change YouTube).

One instance is a “joke” leaflet on Twitter concerning Brexit, under the heading of the Royal Mail.

When collecting post from my brother’s flat in Hackney, I found, together with a genuine card for collection of a package from the Bethnal Green Royal Mail depot, a glossy leaflet “You were lied to and your… Brexit (and) Good old days before all the foreigners came… could not be delivered to you”.

While election literature is required by law to have the publisher’s name, this leaflet, originating on the web, merely has the tag “blackscore”. It is apparently put out by a publicity firm as “a joke”.
