Mystery of those 390s

• WHAT is going on with the 390 bus route at the moment?

For the past few weeks, I have not been able to get live departure times on my smart­phone (through City­mapper, Google Maps, or Transport for London) and, furthermore, when I go to the bus stop the 390 doesn’t even appear on the live boards, even though all other buses do – for example, the 134.

None of the bus drivers I have asked know what is going on and I am curious to know why is it just the 390 that is affected? It is a huge inconvenience to my daily travel to work and I imagine many others that use the bus on a regular basis.
