YOUTH football leagues across the country might have stopped recording results and publishing league tables for their younger age groups but that doesn’t mean the players are taking their games any less seriously.
Just ask Pro Touch Soccer Academy midfielder Marlon Derakoff, who was snapped fervently chasing down the ball on Saturday in their Under-10s game against Mallinson in the Camden and Regent’s Park Youth League.
Details surrounding matches in the younger age groups were phased out as part of the FA’s youth development programme in a bid to improve the game and take the pressure off the younger players – but if you want to know what the score was just ask the children, because they certainly still know!
