• FURTHER to the letter from Brenda Airey (We’re feeling the cold and feeling forgotten, March 1) and the behaviour of Origin Housing, Camden Council is supposed to protect people in the borough from landlords.

My son (a diabetic) pays his rent, never in arrears. Where he lives, in the Talacre area, there’s no insulation in walls; rats can be heard in walls; the boiler is not working properly.

He complained about water-bombing by children, which managed to break his kitchen window. CCTV was taken away. And graffiti on the front door was not attended to. The ceiling fell in and kitchen floor needed repair. Tradespeople seen have not been up to standard.

A lot of other people are paying rent to Origin Housing and being short-changed. What are Origin Housing spending the rents on?
