‘This huge parking problem means I rarely go out’

• THE picture on the card (above) Camden have sent me illustrates a major problem because it is only showing young and “fit” people, including the blind woman who is well able to walk.

The scheme is very hard on me, elderly and quite mobility-disabled and with a mild case of agoraphobia, because I need to go out and get into my car to be able to get out nowadays.

But I frequently have a very hard time finding anywhere to park on a resident’s bay at all near my home. I often have to drive down Harmood Street, along Chalk Farm Road and up Ferdinand Street, and so on, to find any space.

Now they intend to limit my ability even to drive that block, which is already really painful and difficult for me when I have to walk a distance home.

This huge parking problem means I rarely go out. I feel I can’t be the only person having problems with Camden Council’s traffic scheme.
