West Kentish Town Estate residents were badly misled by the council

Thursday, 29th June 2023

• WHILE the hole in the ground behind the jazzy hoardings, formerly known as Bacton Low Rise, continues to attract fauna and flora, but no developers or contractors in Gospel Oak, residents of West Kentish Town Estate look forward to the latest announcement by Camden Council as to progress.

To save everyone in Camden a bit of time, the dates that I told you about in early June showed that everything after phases one and two had gone back two years, and that tenants were going to be herded into a new 14-storey tower block.

Now the latest release by Camden, which it has not even told the Estate Regeneration Steering
Group about, show that these dates have gone back even further.

The link to the document is https://tinyurl.com/y8my7zt8 – The crucial schedule is at the back.

At this rate, the poor residents of Edington will move into their new flats some time during the reign of King William V.

Meanwhile they and all other West Kentish Town Estate residents are expected to live in overcrowded, leaking, damp and mould infested flats, while Camden Council sits on its hands.

They were badly misled when they voted. They deserve better!
