WEST End FC’s Under 11s stormed into the Camden and Regent’s Park Youth League Cup play-offs on Saturday after winning a dramatic penalty shoot-out against Highgate Rangers, writes Steve Barnett.

Rangers, who played a brilliant passing game, took the lead twice through first-class efforts from player-of-the-match Albi Alexander and Kian Cartwright.

But goals from skipper Freddie Geraghty and hotshot striker Jamie Isaacs twice brought a battling West End side level.

West End were clinical with their penalties, with Luc Carrier Sanders, Bruno Lansdowne and Isaacs all converting their spot kicks, while a save by goalkeeper David Langford secured their passage into the finals, which take place this weekend.
