Eleanor Botwright

• ELEANOR Botwright is a true community hero who deserves the thanks and gratitude of every single person in Camden, (Eleanor Botwright to retire after 34 years running the Castlehaven Community Centre, May 16).

Not only has she provided vital services to vulnerable people in our borough but she has also been a tireless advocate on their behalf and a role model and inspiration to a whole generation of elected councillors in the Camden Town area.

The Castlehaven Centre’s journey over the past 30 years is proof of the positive impact an individual can make. However serious the challenges we face today, I feel optimistic that projects like this have made Camden a better place to live than ever.

I can’t imagine Eleanor ever putting her feet up, but I wish her all the very best in whatever she chooses to do next.
