The London Youth Games 2019 football finals – one of the last events to be held in real time before the competition was forced to move online due to the pandemic

YOUNGSTERS went back to school this week, just in time to join their classmates taking part in the closing stages of the LYG Virtual Inclusive Games.

Running until April 5, athletes are invited to compete in a series of challenges and then submit their times and scores online to earn valuable points for their borough.

All the events will be set by young disabled athletes and will come with suggested adaptations to ensure as many young Londoners as possible can get involved.

Challenges are released every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 9am, and entrants have until noon on Mondays to complete the tasks and submit scores.

There are also individual prizes up for grabs. Pupils just have to share videos of their attempts on social media using #ThisIsLYG to be in with a chance of winning the weekly MVP award and some Nike swag.
